Cleveland Cavaliers forward Dean Wade has agreed to a three-year, $18.5 million contract extension with the team. The deal includes $16.5 million in guaranteed salary and an annual average of $6,166,667.

Wade is a product of Kansas State University and was selected by the Miami Heat with the 49th overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft. He has since played for both the Heat and the Cavaliers, earning a reputation as a versatile defender and a reliable scorer.

In the 2022-23 season, Wade played in 59 games (11 starts) for the Cavaliers and averaged 5.3 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per game. He shot 47.2% from the field and 38.9% from the three-point range.

Wade's extension is a sign of the Cavaliers' commitment to building a young, competitive team. The deal keeps Wade in Cleveland through the 2025-26 season, and it gives the team a valuable piece in their rotation.
